I am using the Sunrise Medical Sterling Little Gem mobility scooter for shopping. The Little Gem\'s ideal to go in the car
and easy to use. The seats a bit small from front to back, but i am really pleased with it, ( my husband isnt tho, he cant keep up with me now!).

I glad to hear you are enjoying the use of your Sunrise Medical Sterling Little Gem but i'm sorry to hear of the problem you have experienced.

Early models of the Little Gem mobility sooters have their battery pack held in place by gravity and velcro tape. Over time this velcro tape can be covered in fluff reducing its stickiness.

New models are fitted with a lock that holds the battery pack in place to prevent this problem. Since the new lock was added we haven't had any problems with this problem.

I'm amazed to hear that the mobility company your purchased you Little Gem from where unable to identify and rectify this problem! Very poor service indeed!

At Mobility Buddy we would retro fit the lock to your Little Gem scooter to stop the problem and (as a double measure renew the velcro). We would be happy to send you the lock devise to solve you problem. Please don't hesitate to contact us on 0800 107 8445.

I\'ve had the Sunrise Medical Little Gem 4 mobility scooter for a year. It is wonderful for climbing steep cliffs, etc. It is nimble and fits nicely into lifts and goes through one single door.

I would like to see the Little Gem made even lighter by a mesh floor because my husband finds it still too heavy to lift easily. (We are pensioners). But the main fault is - when you go over bumps - sometimes the battery fails to connect with the switch. It is quite often difficult to start again. You have to push really hard down on the battery box. Yesterday it stopped five times. And the mobility shop ibrought it from people can\'t fix it. Have I bought a rogue scooter or are they all like this?

I bought a Little Gem 4 Mobility Scooter and I love it!

Its so light and easy to manover and a decent price.
The people at Mobility Buddy are very helpful when you want to buy and are still helpful after the purchase and will give the best advice to help the buyer.

My only suggestion would be that more colours be made available as in Silver and a nice metalic pink / purple as though I like the blue I would like more variety in the colours.

I will start on some positives. The Sterling Little Gem 4 Mobility Scooter is good for me, because i have a complex disability called Hypermobility Syndrome, which affects my mobility, It is good because it\'s easy to charge up, it folds up very easily and goes in the boot of the car, and takes no time at all.

Some negative points are that i can\'t take the Little Gem out when it\'s wet, some building are not all that accessible, so you have great fun and t does not like long, wet grass.

Apart from that it is fine.
