Mobility Buddy Terms And Conditions

1. Payment

Mobility Buddy accepts payments on-line, through postal cheques or over the telephone. We will process your order in compliance with both the Data Protection Act and Computer Misuse Acts.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch, Solo, Delta and Visa Electron.

All cheques should be made payable to Mobility Buddy.

Goods must be paid in full and funds cleared before despatch.

2. Delivery

Delivery is typically within 3 days, subject to stock.  Some items may take up to 14 days.  If you have a specific delivery date in mind just ask!

External couriers are used to deliver goods as part of the conditions of sale, customers are required to inspect all goods on receipt and are to annotate the Courier’s documentation with details of damage to either the packaging or the goods themselves.  Where this is not done and the Courier subsequently disputes liability, then Mobility Buddy will not be responsible for the costs associated with repair or replacement.  In all cases, damage to goods is to be reported to Mobility Buddy at the earliest opportunity.

Personal delivery by Mobility Buddy staff for electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters is available for certain areas.  Ask for information and a quotation.


We endeavour to hold sufficient stock to meet all orders.  If we have insufficient stock to supply the goods ordered, we may, at our discretion deliver a substituted product.

3. Warranty and Guarantee

All our products are brand new and covered by a 12 month manufacturers’ warranty for parts and materials, providing the product is designed to last that length of time.  Please note consumables are not included and neither are incontinence products, due to Hygiene Law.

If you experience any problems with a product, please do not hesitate to contact us on the dedicated service line for advice.  The appropriate number will be indicated on your delivery paperwork.

4. Cancellation and Returns policy

“Your statutory rights are not affected in any way.”  We give all our customers a 7 day “cooling off” period in which orders can be cancelled.

Providing goods have not been dispatched, we would normally refund a deposit in the case of cancellation of a regular stock item. Special orders of non-stock items or specialist electric wheelchairs must be paid for in full and will not be cancelable.

Upon or after receipt of the goods, should you wish to return any of the products, you must firstly telephone Customer Services on 01773 602641 to obtain a returns number.  Enter this number in the box your completed returns form.  You must send this form with the items you are returning.  If you have lost your returns form, we can send you another one out.  Do not write the returns number or any other information on the product packaging.  All goods returned must be received by us at our warehouse in an unused and resalable condition with the original packaging and other informative material undamaged.  Collection can be arranged but will incur a cost. Customer Services are able to give you a quotation should this be required.

Please note, all chairs, beds, mattresses, commodes, toileting and incontinence products are non returnable due to Hygiene Regulations.

5. VAT Exemption

The majority of Mobility Buddy customers don't have to pay VAT and as such the prices we display do not include VAT on those products that qualify for the exemption. Products that are not included in the exemption have prices displayed inclusive of VAT.

Individuals purchasing disability aids for their own personal use or charities purchasing disability aids to be made available to a disabled person are usually exempt from paying VAT, providing the exemption declaration is submitted along with your order.

Orders which are received without a declaration and we are not able to obtain one later will incur VAT charges. We charge VAT at 20% subject to changes in taxation.
